When someone clicks your referral link and connects their wallet, they become your referral (first-touch). You earn a percentage of all trading fees they generate on Whales Market. Payments are automatically distributed on-chain when orders settle.
How much can I earn from referrals?
Base rate is 20% of trading fees. You can earn up to 50% total through volume tiers (+10% at $1M, +20% at $5M) and staking boost (+1% to +10% based on xWHALES staked). All earnings are auto-paid on-chain when orders settle.
How do I get my referral link?
When you connect your wallet for the first time, the system automatically generates a unique 4-character referral link (whales.market/r/xxxx). Everyone gets one link that works across all campaigns. Large KOLs can contact us for custom links.
When do I receive my referral earnings?
Earnings are automatically paid on-chain immediately when your referral's orders settle. There's no manual claiming required. You receive payments in the same asset as the campaign's fee token (e.g., USDC).
How long does the referral relationship last?
Once someone clicks your referral link and connects their wallet, they become your permanent referral. All their future trading activity will generate earnings for you.
What trading volume counts for referral rewards?
Only qualified volume counts: filled & settled Buy/Sell orders and Resell orders. Cancelled, expired, test transactions, and close offers don't count.
Do I need to stake $WHALES tokens?
Staking xWHALES is optional but provides earning boosts: 10k xWHALES = +1%, 50k xWHALES = +5%, 100k xWHALES = +10%. You can participate in referrals without staking, starting at the base 20% rate.
Can I change my referral link?
Standard 4-character links cannot be changed - each user gets one permanent link. Only large KOLs and strategic partners can request custom links through direct approval from our team.
