MegaETH has recently launched the MegaETH Global Stress Test program with the goal of testing the operational capacity of the entire network before the official mainnet launch.
Participating in this testing experience is highly likely to help users receive rewards for their contributions when the project conducts its TGE.
What is MegaETH Global Stress Test?
MegaETH Global Stress Test is a global stress testing program on the MegaETH mainnet, a Layer 2 on Ethereum designed to become a real time Ethereum.
The program was created to blast the blockchain with 18K-35K real TPS (transactions per second), allowing users to experience real time applications such as onchain games without latency, while also comparing performance with other blockchains.
The goals of the program are:
- Process a total of 11B transactions to evaluate load capacity and low fees.
- Allow users to test games such as Crossy Fluffle, Stomp, and Smasher to experience the advantages and prepare for the public mainnet launch after testing.
- Start date is 22/1/2026 and the program is expected to last 7 days.
Why should users join the MegaETH Stress Test?
Details about rewards for participants are not announced in the project’s article, however users should still participate for the following reasons:
- Users only need to pay gas fees, and currently fees on MegaETH are very cheap. Even the bridge cost from Ethereum to MegaETH is low, thanks to recent Ethereum L1 upgrades such as Fusaka that improve network efficiency.
- Being active on the mainnet also helps users build a better onchain history, increasing the chance of receiving MegaETH airdrop later.
- Fogo recently airdropped $200 to $300 to users who were active during the beta mainnet phase. With a relatively large R:R and only gas costs, users should spend time to take advantage of this opportunity cost.
- There is also a chance to receive airdrops from game projects deployed on MegaETH during the Stress Test phase.
Guide to Experiencing the MegaETH Stress Test
To join the test, users need to perform the following steps:
- Access the official website: https://stress.megaeth.com
- Select the “BRIDGE” section in the top right corner of the website.
- Then connect the wallet and bridge ETH from the Ethereum network to MegaETH.
After bridging ETH, users need to wait about 30 minutes for the ETH to settle on the MegaETH network.

In total, there will be 4 games available for users to experience. Most games only require gas fees when interacting.

ShowDown
This game combines card gameplay with poker mechanics. Overall, it is not too difficult to play.
- Users only need to log in using email in the Log in section.
- In step 2, users can use points provided by the project to participate, or deposit USDm to play and earn real money.

Crossy Fluffle
In this game, on the homepage users need to perform the following actions:
- First, select the MegaETH network.
- Then send ETH to the in game wallet address to pay gas fees on the MegaETH network.
- The wallet address is located in the top right corner of the screen.
Note that users should only send $0.0005 to $0.001 because the game does not allow withdrawals yet.

The gameplay experience is quite simple:
- Users only need to click on movement tiles, each action will create one onchain transaction.
- Users have 60s to move the character across the roads without being hit by cars.
- After 60s, the game will automatically end.

Stomp
This is a PVP fighting game. To participate, users follow these steps:
- Step 1: Connect a wallet to create an account. Instead of choosing the in game wallet, select “No thanks, I want to use my own wallet” to increase transactions on the main wallet.
- Step 2: Press Roll to open battle pets for the account.
- Step 3: Set a name for the account.
- Step 4: Users can press challenge on all accounts on the right side of the screen.
For each action, users must confirm one transaction on the main wallet.

Smasher
The gameplay of this game is relatively simple:
- Place a bet and in each round choose to smash 1 character that appears on the board.
- Each round has 1 death character, if hit you lose everything, if you survive the reward multiplier increases.
- You can cash out at any time before hitting the death character.
To participate, users create an account and start transferring ETH from the main wallet to the in game wallet.

Each time participating, players must place a real money bet with a minimum of 0.001 ETH.
Then users only need to select any character, if they hit the death character the screen will show “YOU HIT A BOMB!” and the player will lose.

Conclusion
Overall, users can bring about $10 to participate and consider this as an opportunity cost. The time spent is not too much and this can be considered one of the first onchain footprints on the MegaETH mainnet.
FAQs
Q1. How long does it take for bridged ETH to become usable on the network?
After bridging, it usually takes around 30 minutes for ETH to settle before it can be used in games and transactions.
Q2. Is it possible to participate with a small amount of capital?
Yes, most activities only require gas fees, and some games allow participation with as little as 0.001 ETH.
Q3. Do all games require real money bets?
No, several games only require gas fees, while a few games involve optional real money wagers.
Q4. Can users withdraw funds from every game during the testing phase?
Not all games support withdrawals yet, so users should send only small amounts to in game wallets.
Q5. What benefits does onchain activity during testing provide in the long term?
Active participation helps build onchain history, which may improve eligibility for future ecosystem incentives.
